Hey, fellow Bruins fans! My name is Mark Garbino (not Messier, unfortunately), and I am a 21-year-old from the Boston suburb of Woburn.
I have been a Boston sports fan since day one, but the Bruins hold a special place in my heart above and beyond the rest. Through thick and thin, I have not once considered abandoning my loyalty to the boys in Black and Gold. I have endured it all, alongside all of you: The last place seasons, first place seasons, epic comebacks, epic collapses, trades that will haunt us forever, and countless gut-wrenching losses to our most hated rivals from up north.
However, there is something addictive about the game and the team we have chosen to support. The history, the passion, and the intensity are unparalleled, and it is a huge part of who I am.
Back in the summer of 2012, I wanted to form a way to connect with fans that shared that same everlasting dedication, and thus, @BruinsDiehards was born. Slowly but surely, the account gained traction, and despite the lockout-shortened season, it accumulated around 18,000 followers within a year.
Running the account became more challenging the following year, as I began my college career, so Nick was brought on board to keep the ship afloat, and we discovered that we both had similar goals in mind.
I am currently a junior at the University of New Hampshire, majoring in journalism. My dream is to cover the Bruins for a living, and I have been working hard to make that dream a reality. On top of my coursework, I have gained experience by covering both the men’s and women’s hockey teams at UNH.
I view this website as an exciting opportunity to create something special. The support that we have received on Twitter has been overwhelming, and I hope to build on that support right here at BruinsDiehards.com.
Thank you in advance if you choose to follow along as this journey begins! Enjoy!

What’s up, Bruins fans! My name is Nick Godin, but most of you know me as @FlyingOrr on Twitter. I’m a sophomore at Thomas College, which resides in my home state, Vacationland (Maine), and I study Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Marketing.
But first and foremost, I’m a Bruins fan. I live by it, and I swear by it. The Boston Bruins are truly an incredible organization, and the history involved with the team is nothing less than infatuation. There is nothing in the world like going to a Bruins game and being surrounded by people you can relate to. Seriously, once Kernkraft 400 starts bumping at the Garden when the Bruins score, I’m hugging and high-fiving everyone around me. It’s, and I use this term literally, a magical experience.
In addition to being a co-founder of Bruins Diehards, I am a Portland Pirates credentialed writer, and have also covered the NHL for various internet publications. I have also picked up broadcasting as a hobby, where I provide color-commentary for various hockey games across the state.
It has been such an honor to work with Mark and create Bruins Diehards. We both have a lot of passion for the Bruins and hockey in general, and Bruins Diehards was a result of that passion. Our ultimate goal has been to bring the Bruins fan community together, and we feel like we have accomplished that on Twitter. The next step was to create something bigger, and BruinsDiehards.com is a big step in the right direction.
We hope you guys enjoy the website, and hope you stick with us for this next big journey. We’re doing this for you guys – the greatest fans in the world. Because seriously, who has more fun that us?
