On Wednesday evening, the Bruins announced that they have sent David Pastrnak down to Providence.
Before you freak out, sit back and think about the situation. With the all-star festivities taking place this weekend, the Boston Bruins do not have another game until Tuesday. Pastrnak, who has played in only eight games since Halloween, is still looking to find his stride this season. The P-Bruins have a game on Friday, so Pasta will join them to get another game under his belt before the team returns from break.
Based on this tweet from the Boston Globe’s Amalie Benjamin, plus some common sense, the 19-year-old Czech should be re-joining the big B’s before Tuesday’s tilt vs. Toronto.
Through 18 games played this season, Pastrnak has totaled five goals and four assists for nine points.
