The Bruins’ 7-3 comeback win over the high-powered Dallas Stars came at a cost. Defenseman Torey Krug was injured in the final minute of the game after Stars forward Jason Demers threw an unnecessary hit while Krug was staring up at a lofted puck.
Krug laid on the ice in pain for about a minute before being escorted off by a trainer while holding his arm/shoulder the whole way.
Losing Krug would be a HUGE loss for the Bruins, who are starting to feel pretty good about themselves, especially after beating one of the top teams in the league in such decisive fashion.
Defense was already going to be the team’s most significant concern as the trade deadline nears, but if Krug is out long term, they will have a much larger hole to fill in their lineup.
There has not been an official update on Krug’s condition yet, but we will keep you updated as info rolls in.
