BREAKING: Stempniak, Liles Traded to Bruins

Sweeney made moves! I repeat, Sweeney made moves!

After a long day of absolutely nothing, it has been reported that the Boston Bruins have traded for New Jersey Devils’ forward Lee Stempniak and Carolina Hurricanes’ defenseman John-Michael Liles.

The details are slowly surfacing, so we will update as they come out.

Update: It is believed that the return on J-M Liles is a 2016 third-round pick, a 2017 fifth-round pick and prospect Anthony Camara – per Pierre Lebrun.

Update: According to Renaud Lavoie, the Bruins traded a 2017 second-round pick and a 2016 fourth-round pick to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Lee Stempniak.

Looking at both trades as a whole, the Bruins have traded four draft picks for John-Michael Liles and Lee Stempniak. The picks are the following: a second-round pick, a third-round pick, a fourth-round pick, and a fifth-round pick.
