RUMOR: Seth Griffith Could Be Traded

Happy Trade Deadline Day!

According to Hockey Night in Canada’s Elliotte Friedman, the Bruins are listening to inquiries on forward Seth Griffith, who is having a spectacular year in the American Hockey League.

Griffith ranks second in points out of the entire league with 60, trailing by just 1 point behind Hershey’s Chris Bourque, who has played in 8 more games than Griffith. At this rate, Griffith will likely finish the season as the AHL’s top scorer.

Considering Griffith’s success in the AHL, as well as the potential he showed in his brief 30 game stint with the Bruins back in 2015, I can only imagine that the return would be relatively good. The Bruins should avoid trading Griffith for a one-time rental, however, as his potential is more desirable that another Andrej Mezsaros
