Adam McQuaid Rocks Predators’ Derek Grant With Uppercut

On two occasions in past weeks, Adam McQuaid had the referees wrongfully step in after he dropped the gloves with an opponent. Thursday night in Nashville, he finally got his chance to trade punches, and he unleashed all of his pent-up aggression on newly-acquired Predator, Derek Grant.

Grant started the season with the Buffalo Sabres, but was claimed off waivers by the Preds the day before. He wanted to make a strong first impression on his new squad, but chose the wrong Bruin to challenge. McQuaid did not hold back at all, and threw a barrage of haymakers at Grant, connecting several times. The fight ended on a fierce uppercut that Grant blocked with his chin, sending him falling to the ice.
