The Bruins definitely needed to pick up the pace considering all of the injuries.
And hopefully this Saturday night showdown will set them back on track.
On December 8, our boys played the always dreaded Toronto Maple Leafs. Luckily, the team triumphed in a 6-3 victory. The goals were scored by Jakob Forsbacka Karlson, David Backes, Torey Krug, Danton Heinen, David Krejci, and Ryan Donato. All guys who needed to score.
Though only 6 guys scored, the entire team had an outstanding game. Jaroslav Halak stopped 32 of 35 shots which gave him a .906 save percentage. Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak surely did not go unnoticed either earning several shots on goal and racking up a couple of assists. Gemel Smith also blended in nicely.
The boys had a big task to accomplish by finding a way to win and they certainly came up big. Fingers crossed they can do it again against Ottawa.
