The Boston Bruins announced that they have re-signed defenseman Brandon Carlo to a two-year deal with an annual cap-hit of $2.85 million.
The 22-year-old only recorded ten points last season, but his +/- of +22 ranked second-best on the team.
Selected by the Bruins 37th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Carlo has 32 points (8 goals and 24 assists) in 230 games with Boston.
The signing of Carlo comes shortly after the Bruins announced a three-year extension with stud defenseman Charlie McAvoy. With the extensions of Carlo, McAvoy, and head coach Bruce Cassidy, the Bruins have checked off the remainder of their “to do list” and are now prepared for the 2019-2020 season.
