During Monday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins center David Krejci appeared to have aggravated an upper-body injury.
Krejci took a cross-check to the right arm from Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf in the first period. The 33-year-old registered just 4:43 over seven shifts during the game.
After a day off Tuesday, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy provided an update on Krejci following practice Wednesday afternoon.
“Tomorrow we will see how he is,” said Cassidy. “I’d put him as day-to-day. We are not going to rule him out tomorrow, and I wouldn’t say he is definitely in.”
Krejci skated half the practice today before Charlie Coyle slotted in between Jake DeBrusk and Brett Ritchie on the second line.
In just five games this season, Krejci has only tallied an assist that came in the Bruins only loss of the season against Colorado. Last season, the center tied his career high in points with 73.
