Boston Pride's Hayley Moore named VP of Hockey Operations

The Boston Pride will have a shake up in the front office next season as the AHL announced today that General Manager, Hayley Moore has been named VP of Hockey Operations. In a press release from the league,CEO Scott Howson says, "Moore will be responsible for overseeing the league’s on-ice operations, including management of the AHL officiating program and the league’s disciplinary process."
She will finish her season with the Boston Pride in Lake Placid and begin her new journey in the AHL on February 8th.
From 2017-2019, Moore worked as the deputy commissioner and director of player development for the NWHL. She also oversaw hockey operations and played a key role in growing the league. She played for the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League, and over in Switzerland. On top of playing hockey, she served as the Assistant Coach for women's hockey at Harvard.
“My career has been fueled by a passion for development, so I am thrilled to be joining the American Hockey League, the premier development hockey league in the world,” said Moore. “For this enormous opportunity, I want to thank Scott Howson and the AHL’s Board of Governors, and I look forward to working with everyone in the league. I also want to acknowledge the owners, players and staff of the Boston Pride, and my colleagues at the NWHL. I am immensely proud to have been a part of the league for its first six seasons.”

The 34 year old is holding one of the highest ranking in North American hockey. This is a massive step in the right direction for not only the AHL but also women in sports.
The NWHL starts their season on January 23rd in Lake Placid, New York.
