Boston Pride Name Colleen Coyne New Team President

If for any moment you thought the Boston Pride couldn’t get any more stacked, this afternoon the team announced Colleen Coyne as President.

Coyne, an Olympic Gold Medalist and Massachusetts native, fills the role left by Hayley Moore earlier this year. A University of New Hampshire alum, she was a part of three Women’s Worlds teams as well as solidifying a deadly blue line for Gold at the Nagano Games in 1998. After her playing career, she was elected to USA Hockey’s Board of Directors serving on the Executive Committee and Women’s National Team Advisory Committee.

On joining the team Coyne said, “I am thrilled to be joining the Pride at this exciting moment for women’s hockey and the NWHL. The staff is world class and the team is packed with talent.”

General Manager Karilyn Pilch emphasizes building a team of character on and off the ice, and Coyne fits right in with that bunch. Her extensive business knowledge rounds out a solid front office, as well as keeps the precedent set by Moore before her. Coyne hopes to work alongside Karilyn and Head Coach Paul Mara to continue Boston’s momentum into 2021-2022 and grow Boston’s brand.
