Danielle Larouco Joins Pride as New GM

Boston’s series of shakeups this offseason continued today as Brown University alum Danielle Larouco became the new general manager of The Boston Pride.

Larouco joins The Pride after Karilyn Pilch’s monumental departure to scout in Chicago. During her time at Brown she landed on the ECAC All Star team twice (1996, 1997) in route to becoming the program’s fourth leading scorer all-time. Following her graduation she spent three years at her alma mater as an assistant while appearing on the Women’s USA Hockey Development Team in 1998.

Team president Colleen Coyne stated, “She has always been someone who can balance hard work with levity and perspective. Her hockey knowledge and experience coiled with her business acumen is the perfect mix for this position.”

What should fans expect from Larouco? Expect her to get to work quickly on resigning talent as well as filling in gaps left by key player departures. Fans should also expect her to work hard and give her best to bring a third Isobel Cup to Boston. Look forward to seeing what she’ll do.
